Can’t plant your own veggies? Throw in the trowel and hire a professional

We can all see that it’s pretty sad to look at bare earth in our yards when we know that it can be not only pretty but also productive. Many homeowners don’t know where to begin, worried that their plants will die or their money will be wasted.

Well I am here to tell you that there are two relatively inexpensive and excellent cures for this.

First, several cities have new services that will give you an instant backyard vegetable farm.  They will come and get you all fixed up with a vegetable garden of your dreams!

Second, many cities have a new species of helper—the garden coach—who will do much of the initial hard work and then teach you how to maintain your new ornamental or vegetable gardens.

Both these alternatives are less expensive when compared with hiring a landscape architect.

Raised on a farm and a deep-rooted interest in permaculture and spirituality, from personal studies in horticulture and paganism, these play a key role in my approach to gardening.
