Shortbread Melt-in-Your-Mouth Cookies

Ingredients:

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1/2 cup powdered sugar

2 cups all-purpose flour

Optional: Vanilla extract or finely chopped nuts for flavour variation

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and powdered sugar until smooth.

Gradually add the flour, mixing until a soft dough forms. If using, add a splash of vanilla extract or nuts for flavour.

Roll the dough into small balls or press into moulds.

Place cookies on the prepared baking sheets and bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
